Like you, I have seen countless “Trends of 2015”  articles.  But one video blog by House & Home Magazine hit all the right notes.  The Canadian publication’s digital mag also shows us how to work with The Hottest Interiors Trends for 2015.  They are the 2015 Home Interior Trends you’ll love!

British Eclectic.

Think comfy, classic silhouettes with a touch of whimsy.  Yes, there are florals and stripes but it’s not a stuffy British library look.  Try muddy pink walls for romance, with deep wood accents and – surprise – a Berber-Style rug.   Remember that Wedgwood china?  Botanicals? This is a style that definitely plays up the look.

One of the trends for 2015 according to House & Home Magazine is the Modern Farmhouse look. Photo courtesy of House Beautiful.

Modern Farmhouse

Modern Farmhouse employs traditional rustic furnishings, like this antique secretary. The "modern" element is in the basically black and white palette, metals and newer finishes.

Modern meets country with unfussy decorating.  Rustic Woods, a few architectural details, black & white pretty much tells the storyKeep your palette organic with rustic colors, pottery accents and rustic woods.

Artful Refinement

Pared down luxury is the best way to describe this style.  “A pared-back, modern look that feels polished, tailored and ever so slightly posh.”  Colors are quite but not soft.  Deep browns and velvety blues look great against a beige or soft gray neutral walls.  This style shows off the sculptured furniture and uses luxe fabrics.  And we see the return of sculpture.  Smaller statement pieces fit perfectly.

Bright pops of color, Latin textiles and arts find give the global panache to this style. If you are a traveler, collector or are a bohemian, this is for you.  South America is front and center with the upcoming Olympics  All eyes will focus on this color palette.  Hot oranges, marine blues, rose tones are quite appropriate paint colors that hold up to these textiles and mixed with primitive, but sturdy, furniture pieces.
